Now is the time of year when our largest shipments of sports clothing comes in.  We have a good supply of shirts, hoodies, jackets, shorts, & pants in big and tall sizes in our best selling teams -- Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves, and even some New York Yankees, New York Giants, Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, New Orleans Saints, and Chicago Bears.  I am still supposed to get more in, including Alabama Crimson Tide.

Georgia Sales Tax Holiday

Just a reminder that Friday 08/01/14 and Saturday 08/02/14 are the Georgia Sales Tax Holidays!!

Customer Service

I just wanted to share an experience that I had yesterday involving bad customer service, or in reality, no customer service.  I took my daughter to a local mall to buy shoes for her (I had fine service at the shoe store BTW).  While we were at the mall, we happened to go by the bedding department in a large national chain store.  I recalled that my wife told me that we needed new bed sheets, so I decided to look around.  They had multiple walls and racks full of different brands, styles, and thread counts of sheets.  I looked around for about 10 minutes before I even saw anybody who worked there, and since I had no clue what was good and what was bad, I stopped her and asked if she could help me.  Her response?  "I don't work in this department, but I'll let someone know that you need help."  OK, fine -- then I waited about 10 more minutes until I saw someone else who worked there.  "Could I get some help?", I asked.  "I'm on break", she responded, and kept going.  I looked around for about another 10 minutes before finally giving up and leaving.  THAT, in my opinion, is BAD customer service!

I hereby pledge to all customers of Leiter's Big and Tall & Leiter's Uniforms that we all work in this department, and if we are OPEN, then we are NOT on break!!!!

And PLEASE let me know if you have ever a bad customer service experience here.

We just got a new shipment of Levi's jeans.  They are in high demand -- I have already sold some of them right out of the box!

I know it has been a while since I posted here, so I will try to do better.  We got real busy, then I got sick, then I started gearing up to go out of town for spring break, then I was out of town, then when I got back to work, it took me a while to catch up, and now I think I am caught up!  So, of course we got in a bunch of new spring merchandise in the meantime, so since warmer weather is upon us, come on in to check it all out!

Closed Wednesday 02/12/14

Roads in Marietta starting to ice over. Stay off roadways if at all possible

Over the last hour, ice has started to accumulate on bridges and roadways in Marietta. Several bridges on I-75 in Marietta have reports of ice as well. Crews are actively trying to treat the roads but we are urging motorists to stay off of the roadways. If you have to be on the road please slow your speeds, allow a lot of extra time to get to your destination and use extreme caution when travelling over bridges or roadways less travelled. Make sure you have a fully charged cell phone with you in the event you need emergency assistance.

OPEN Tuesday 02/11/14

I am here and OPEN on Tuesday 02/11/14.  Despite the sever weather advisory, it is only raining and about 40 degrees today.  The roads are clear and there are plenty of people out and about.  I am not sure if I will stay all day today (depends on the weather and our customer count), so please call me at 770-428-6136 if you want to come in later today, so I can make sure to be here.

Winter Storm Warning

We are under a Winter Storm Warning for Tuesday 01/28/14 to Wednesday 01/29/14.  I plan to OPEN on Tuesday 01/28/14 at 10:00am, but who knows what will happen after that.  I will post here if I close early due to snow, so the moral of this post is call before you head our way -- 770-428-6136.

Neighbor Update

An update on our neighbors:

The Greek restaurant is still not open, and I have been told they will try to open by the end of this month, but by February 15 at the latest.

The building beside (behind) us on Church Street Extension is no longer vacant.  It looks like an insurance company has moved in called Family First Life.

Denver Broncos

We have one left!  Get it before it is gone!  Represent your team in style!  The Denver Broncos are going to the big game, and we have this shirt left in about a size 4X.  I don't expect that we will have it for long!
